The Federal Collection
This fantastic collection of 44 numbered sculpted whales came from a stately home in Newburyport. Painted dozens of times since the home was built in 1850, they have a perfect blue-chippy-paint color, texture, and an amazing sense of character. The boards were likely living trees in the 1700’s!
The dimensions of these boards are incredible. Some close to two feet wide! With boards that large Eric was able to craft incredible pieces.
These one-of-a-kind time capsules remind us of our city’s long history.

This piece is currently on display at the Newburyport Art Association Gallery as part of their Annual Art Auction (10.3.26). You can also see it online & bid HERE. Proceeds go to Newburyport Art Association.
